Instructions

Open the lens cover

Turn the lens cover 90° to open it. Be careful not to turn it over 90°, otherwise it may cause damage to the internal components.

6.2 Laser on and off

When starting the test, press the power button to turn on the machine. At this time, the indicator laser is turned on and always on, and the detection laser is turned on. After a stabilization time of 3 to 4 seconds, continuous testing can be started. When stopping detection, press and hold the power button to turn off the instrument. At this time, the laser is indicated to be turned off and the instrument enters the shutdown state.

6.3 Start detection

When detecting, point the indicating laser at the target to be measured, and the display will display the integrated concentration of methane in the measured area, in ppm·mo.

Note:

ppm.m is the unit of integrated concentration and represents the product of methane concentration and width. Among them, ppm is the gas concentration unit, that is, "parts per million", indicating the concentration of methane; = is the length unit "meter", indicating the width of the measured air mass.

Example: Detection is performed 5 meters away from the measured target. If the concentration of the methane leakage air mass is 500ppm and the width is 1 meter, the integrated concentration of the methane leakage air mass is 500ppmx1m=500ppm·m. At this time, the value displayed by the instrument is 500gpm· m

6.4 Alarm

When it is detected that the methane concentration value exceeds the set alarm value, the instrument will sound an alarm and the device will continue to vibrate.

6.5 Device charging

When the battery power is too low, the device needs to be charged through the device's own charger or a standard charger with an output specification of 4.2V/2A. When charging, enter the charging interface. Click any button to wake up the screen and check the charging status.

7 Detection Tips

7.1 General guidance

1) Since methane gas is less dense than air, it will spread upward after leakage. Therefore, it is better to aim the indicating laser at a position 10 to 20 cm above the target to be measured during inspection.

2) When testing, please pay attention to the return light intensity indicator bar on the display screen. If the number of return light intensity indicator bars is very small, it means that the reflected laser signal received by the instrument is very weak. At this time, the angle or position should be changed for detection.

3) When testing, the indicator laser should be irradiated onto the buildings to be tested, pipes, walls, floors, soil, trees and other easily reflective objects, so that the instrument can receive stronger reflected laser signals.

4) When detecting, master the aiming and control the scanning speed. Violent or sudden movements will cause false measurements or false alarms by the instrument.

5) When the target to be measured has a detection blind spot that may not be irradiated by the laser, please change the orientation for detection, or conduct an approximate detection of the adjacent area of the target to be measured.

7.2 Detection for different occasions

1) When detecting underground pipelines, the leaked gas often does not escape from directly above the leak point, but slowly diffuses in the soil and escapes from loose soil or cement cracks. Therefore, key scanning should be carried out on loose soil, cement cracks, kiln well mouths, etc.

2) When inspecting ground pipelines, try to use the pipeline itself or nearby objects as reflectors to focus on scanning valves, flanges and other places prone to leaks.

3) When testing residents’ homes, there is no need to go indoors within the detection distance. You only need to scan the kitchen glass downstairs.

4) When testing a small leak point, you should stand in a leeward place, perform repeated testing about 3 meters away from the target, and pay attention to the changes in the values on the display.

5) When measuring targets with highly reflective backgrounds, false alarms may occur. Please pay special attention to whether the return light intensity indicator bar on the display panel is too high. At this time, adjust the measurement angle to avoid false alarms caused by strong reflections. .

6) The detection distance of this instrument is 30 meters. During actual detection, this distance is related to factors such as the on-site environment, reflectors, and reflection angles. Generally speaking, the farther the detection distance is, the weaker the intensity of the laser signal received by the instrument, and the detection accuracy will also decrease. Therefore, when a gas leak indication is found at a long distance, the instrument should be moved to

Carefully detect the position closer to the measured target to obtain more accurate detection results.

7.3 How to determine the scope of leakage

When testing, to determine the scope of the leak, please follow the steps below.

1) Start scanning with the instrument facing the direction of the wind.

2) Take the place with the highest concentration as the dividing point.

3) Change the orientation and scan the leakage area again.

4) If leakage is still displayed after changing the orientation, it means that the defined position is correct.

5) If there is no leakage display after changing the orientation, the leakage gas may be affected by the wind direction. Please scan in other orientations.

7.4 General factors affecting detection accuracy

1) Some objects or materials reflect the laser too strongly or absorb the laser too strongly, which can easily cause the instrument to display erroneous detection values. Such as: glass, lenses, reflectors, etc.

2) Since gas diffuses faster when the temperature is very high or the wind is strong, when there is less leakage, the leaked gas cannot be concentrated, and there may be a large deviation in the detection value.

3) This telemeter does not react to other flammable gases such as ethane and propan
